Fluorite Ball, Quartz - India
A very aesthetic, bi-color golden fluorite ball perched upon a bed of slightly purple translucent quartz. This specimen was mined by Arbaz Khan in Maharashtra, India. It is an example of botryoidal fluorite, a very rare type of fluorite which forms without crystal structure. The botryoidal fluorite from India has a very distinct look and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Although there are quite a few of these for sale in todays market, few attain this level of perfection with a combination of balance, symmetry, color and lack of damage.
