Pyrite on Calcite - Connecticut
Mined in 2018 in Naugatuck, Connecticut by Jeremy Zolan, this is a very unique small-cabinet sized specimen. The calcite itself is well terminated and lustrous with a blue/grey coloration, but what makes this specimen special is the sharp pyrite crystals coating the calcite, giving it a great aesthetic that is uncommon for this state.
Size: 5.5cm x 3cm x 2cm
